Two servants, Scapin and Sylvestre, become involved in a tangle of plotlines concerning their rich, greedy masters, Argonte and Geronte, and the star-crossed wedding plans of the masters' sons, Octave and Leander. False identities, money making schemes, foolish young lovers and various comeupances get their due stage time with mischievous Scapin pulling the strings.
